Ronin Rat - When Ronin Meets Ninja - Book 2

On the run from the bandit leader known only as ‘BOSS-SAN’, the wily ronin rat WHISKERS enters the city of Daikyo and learns there is a huge bounty out for the capture of an elusive burglar; a chance too good for our down-and-out protagonist to pass on.
But the burglar, a plucky kitten named MANEKI who lives everyday like a thrilling ninja adventure is determined to always stay one step ahead of his potential captor.
On the run from the law, the ronin rat, WHISKERS and the kitten burglar MANEKI encounters the pigeon monk HATO, the sole survivor of an order of monks sworn to safeguard an ancient secret now in danger of falling into the wrong hands.  With his dying breath, HATO entrusts them with the key and a map to the lost treasures of the First Emperor. WHISKERS, who is given the key, reluctantly agrees to partner MANEKI in the hunt for the treasure when the latter memorizes the map and swallows it so that the partnership would be sealed.
