LGOU. Let God Owe You

LGOU. Let God Owe You

S$30,00Harga

Interpersonal and political conflicts, wars and armed struggles are raging across countries, ethnic groups and religious communities in the world today. There seems to be no way of stopping the violence that kills and maims men, women and children. At the same time, natural disasters and sicknesses such as earthquakes, phenomenal weather changes and cancers are threatening the safety of communities, and even the existence of the world.

The writer examines and suggests why such situations occurred in the past and are continuing with increasing frequency as mankind moves into the future. The observations and the postulations made have been derived from decades of life and business experiences, as well as social, economic, political and religious discussions between the author and his late father.

From these interactions and an open-minded understanding of various faith communities, the author makes the case for adopting 10 axioms and a Let God ‘Owe’ You (LGOU) approach to life and nature, with the hope that this practice will help move human beings closer to world peace and the long-term sustainability of life on earth.

  • READERS' VIEWS

In a world where relationships are often transactional and exploitative, the idea of doing good with no ulterior motives and 'let God owe you' is a powerful statement. It brings ethical values back to the centre of our commitment to life, humanity and the world around us. The concepts outlined in this book can reinvigorate the moral compass in us. They can bind us in a powerful way beyond the differences that divide us in terms of creed, ethnicity and politics. The practice of virtues as outlined in this book may be what we need to find the inner peace and heal the world together, with deep gratitude and sincerity.

    - Mohamed Imran Mohamed Taib, Muslim interfaith practitioner, Singapore.

This book can be a blessing for world peace. If everyone follows the LGOU approach proposed in here, the world can become more equitable and more peaceful.

The 10 axioms put forth in LGOU has human meaning, every phrase is logical & reasonable. The views on Coopetition as an approach towards world peace are new to me, and while it sounds naïve – would mankind always be kind, tolerant and honest? – it also raises much food for thought. I hope citizens of the world will not just be enriched with the knowledge but will act on it.

    - Erick Uggla, Gotenburg, Sweden

The title of the book is Let God Owe You, but I find nothing religious or political about it. I really enjoyed the writing style of the author and appreciate how the life experiences of his father and himself had been put together to share simple everyday examples of how to live life according to LGOU principles.  My country has experienced many years of war described as "unworthy wars" here. It is my hope and very naturally the hope of word citizens that the LGOU approach can help bring world peace. and I understand the need for peace.
